Resumo: This paper aims to investigate how the BPM method can be inserted in organizational management for process optimization and time management. Regarding the methodology, the research is characterized by an exploratory study in a funeral urn and candle industry. The implementation of the BPM methodology as a quality improvement tool in organizational management was carried out through field research application, which allowed the interaction and evaluation of the theme against points considered by the theoretical framework, as well as the discovery of possible factors to be addressed considered. It was noticed with the research that the use of BPM has some limitations of the distance between theory and practice, given the difficulties imposed by the systematization of management and change management in the analyzed company.

Em relação a metodologia, a pesquisa é caracterizada por um estudo exploratório numa indústria do ramo de urnas funerárias e velas. A implementação da metodologia BPM como ferramenta de melhoria da qualidade na gestão organizacional foi realizada através de aplicação de pesquisa de campo, o que permitiu a interação e avaliação do tema frente a pontos considerados pelo referencial teórico, assim como a descoberta de possíveis fatores a serem considerados.
