Resumo: This thesis aimed to analyze the experience of empowerment of women inserted in the field of public cultural policies addressing at the transmission of artisanal knowledge. For this, we selected the case of an organization that received incentives from this public policy and, with this, we identified and described the cultural field that was formed from the transmission of knowledge in popular culture in the researched community. The empowerment process was based on the experience of the women who acted in this organization. This is a qualitative research, based on feminist epistemology, bringing the gender category as a central point, but not as the only form of interpretation, insofar as Pierre Bourdieu's works on the social field and types of capital also seem important for a better understanding of the process of construction of the reality of the women interviewed. Oral history was used to the extent that the memories of these women were one of the main means of collecting data for this thesis. Through their narratives, it was possible to identify their trajectories within the actions of the selected organization, and to verify a positive influence of cultural policy in their empowerment processes, although the sexual division of domestic work continued as the main limiting factor so that they could participate more actively in the productive sphere. It is therefore important to note that it is not possible to change the sexual division of the professional work of the artisans, without changing in the sexual division of domestic work, power and knowledge in society. Thus, we must think of public policies that are based on the struggle for equality and justice, since it is the duty of all of us, men and women, to work in defense of a more human world, with ethics in different types of work and without hierarchies of gender.________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Pour cela, nous avons sélectionné le cas d'une organisation qui a reçu des incitations de cette politique publique et, avec cela, nous avons identifié et décrit le champ culturel qui s'est formé à partir de la transmission du savoir dans la culture populaire dans la communauté étudiée. Le processus d'autonomisation a été analysé à partir de l'expérience des femmes qui ont agi dans cette organisation. Il s’agit d’une recherche qualitative, basée sur l’épistémologie féministe, qui fait de la catégorie de genre un point central, mais pas une forme d’interprétation unique, dans la mesure où les travaux de Pierre Bourdieu sur le champ social et les types de capital semblent également importants pour une meilleure compréhension sur le processus de construction de la réalité des femmes interviewées. L’histoire orale est utilisée dans la mesure où la mémoire de ces femmes constitue l’un des principaux moyens de collecte des données de cette thèse. À travers ses récits, il a été possible d’identifier ses trajectoires autour des actions de l’organisation sélectionnée et de vérifier l’influence positive de la politique culturelle sur ses processus d’autonomisation, bien que la division sexuelle du travail domestique soit restée le principal facteur limitant pour qu’elles pourraient participer plus activement dans la sphère productive. Il est, donc, important de noter qu'il n'est pas possible de changer la division sexuelle du travail professionnel des artisans sans travailler pour changer la division sexuelle du travail domestique, du pouvoir et du savoir dans la société. Devrions-nous, donc, penser à des politiques publiques fondées sur la lutte pour l'égalité et la justice, car nous avons tous le devoir, hommes et femmes, de travailler pour la défense d'un monde plus humain, avec l’éthique dans différents types de travail et sans hiérarchies de genre créées.Essa tese teve o objetivo de analisar a experiência de empoderamento de mulheres inseridas no campo das políticas públicas culturais voltadas para a transmissão de saberes artesanais. Para isso, foi selecionado o caso de uma organização que recebeu incentivos dessa política pública e, com isso, identificamos e descrevemos o campo cultural que se formou a partir da transmissão de saberes de cultura popular na comunidade pesquisada. O processo de empoderamento foi analisado a partir da experiência das mulheres que atuaram/atuam nessa organização. Esta é uma pesquisa qualitativa, baseada numa epistemologia feminista, trazendo a categoria gênero como ponto central, mas não como única forma de interpretação, na medida em que os trabalhos sobre campo social e tipos de capitais de Pierre Bourdieu também parecem importantes para uma maior compreensão sobre o processo de construção da realidade das mulheres entrevistadas. A história oral foi utilizada na medida em que as memórias dessas mulheres foram um dos principais meios de coleta de dados dessa tese. Por meio de suas narrativas, foi possível identificar suas trajetórias em torno das ações da organização selecionada, e verificar uma influência positiva da política cultural em seus processos de empoderamento, apesar de que a divisão sexual do trabalho doméstico continuou como o principal fator limitante para que elas pudessem participar mais ativamente da esfera produtiva. Por isso, é importante colocar que não é possível mudar a divisão sexual do trabalho profissional das artesãs, sem trabalhar uma mudança na divisão sexual do trabalho doméstico, do poder e do saber na sociedade.
