This work presents the productivity data of tubular wells, using the knowledge of groundwater occurrence conditions and the main characteristics of the aquifer systems. The objective of this work was to follow and characterize the hydrogeological prospecting stages, using as a work tools, the consultation of maps and synthetic reports from Sergipe Sanitation Company, which aimed to the leasing and drilling. For this purpose, the drilling of well number 17 of the Moita Bonita county (PTP17-MB) was accompanied. This activity allowed the understanding of these work steps carried out in a hydrogeological survey and the problems that can affect the drilling, such as the possibility of the well not having water inlets. The studied area includes Moita Bonita and Ribeirópolis counties, considering that the water supply comes from fissure aquifers situated in boundaries counties. This study is related to 22 wells that exploit water from Moita Bonita Supply System, however, 6 wells are out of service due to no recharge of the aquifer and lack of interest of the landowner where one of the wells is leased. The results of the drilling of well number 17 from Moita Bonita identified two water inputs. The physico-chemical analyses of water samples from well number 17 showed that the water tends to be corrosive, being necessary a treatment before the water is distributed to the population. The Moita Bonita county presents serious problems of lack of water and in several residential areas can be found artesian wells used for irrigation or to quench the thirsty of animals. The major problem in the Moita Bonita region is the lack of information on the flow exploited artesian wells from residential areas, which probably interferes with the public distribution.
