Povoado Areia Branca, educação ambiental e poluição hídrica no Rio Vaza-Barris: a ação dos pescadores "Anjos do Rio"

Resumo: The environmental conservation action carried out by fishermen belonging to the Anjos do Rio group, initiated by the fisherman mr. E., constitutes a process of permanent awareness of socio-environmental problems, more precisely, those derived from solid waste discharged in to the Vaza-Barris river, which borders the Areia Branca village, located in the expansion zone of the city of Aracaju, State of Sergipe. This perimeter of the Vaza-Barris river makes up there searched universe. In view of these questions, the research started from Freire's pedagogy with the purpose of devising a model of Environmental Education and establishing a dialogue with fishermen, through a questionnaire focusing on the socio-environmental realityof each subject. It is within this relationship that the environmental discussion is manifested, with reflections, questions and doubts about the way these fishermen's actions have been established. Thus, this research has as general objective to study the socio-environmental problems in the water body of Vaza-Barris, in the Areia Branca village, under the perspective of the transforming action of fishermen belonging to the Anjos do Rio group. Based on the construction of dialogue, this investigation aims to highlight the world experienced by fishermen, therefore, we used Husserlian phenomenology, in view of enabling the emphasison popular wisdom in the face of events that manifest themselves in the world experienced and shared by the fishermen participating in the research. Thus, three members of the Anjos do Rio group answered a qualitative questionnaire, a moment of listening and dialogue about the life stories and transforming actions of these subjects. The application of a questionnaire about the experiences of these fishermen was supported by the use of images provided by Mr.JL D. when visiting the Associação Sergipesca. A bibliographic review of works dealing with the themes in question was also carried out, with the aim of supporting the theoretical framework of this research. As a proposal for an educational product, an E-book was preparedon the preparation and application of two games with recyclable materials and which focus on the river environment and the action of fishermen. Indeed, it was possible to observe the sensitivity of looking at the river from the appreciation of the environmental conservation practice carried out by fishermen, as critical and participatory protagonists, who identify the socio-environmental problems and propose the collective management of these problems, building the formation of ecological subjects.

Esse perímetro do rio Vaza-Barris compõe o universo pesquisado. Tendo em vista essas questões, a pesquisa partiu da pedagogia freiriana com o propósito de pensar um modelo de Educação Ambiental e estabelecer o diálogo com os pescadores, por meio de questionário tematizando a realidade socioambiental de cada sujeito. É no íntimo dessa relação que se manifesta a discussão ambiental, com reflexões, questionamentos e dúvidas sobre a maneira como a ação desses pescadores vem se estabelecendo. Desse modo, a presente pesquisa tem por objetivo geral compreender os trabalhos realizados pelos pescadores do grupo Anjos do Rio no rio Vaza-Barris. Baseada na construção do diálogo, esta investigação visa destacar o mundo vivido pelos pescadores, por isso, empregamos a fenomenologia husserliana, haja vista possibilitar a ênfase na sabedoria popular frente aos acontecimentos que se manifestam no mundo vivido e compartilhado pelos pescadores desta pesquisa. Assim, três membros do grupo Anjos do Rio responderam a um questionário, um momento de escuta e de diálogos acerca dos relatos de vida e das ações transformadoras desses sujeitos. A aplicação de questionário sobre as vivências desses pescadores foi amparada pelo uso de imagens cedidas pelo Sr. J. L. D. ao realizar uma visita a Associação Sergipesca. Também foi realizada a revisão bibliográfica de obras que tratam das temáticas em questão, com o objetivo de fundamentar o referencial teórico desta pesquisa. Como proposta de produto educacional, foi elaborado um E-book que versa sobre a confecção e aplicação de dois jogos com materiais recicláveis e que tematizamo ambiente do rio e a ação dos pescadores.
