Resumo: This study seeks to discuss and present information about teacher education and ethnic-racial relations. The above-mentioned text aims to understand professional training in education. The survey was conducted from August 12nd to 21th, 2021. Teachers of basic education were heard, in order to provide a theoretical-scientific basis. Therefore, the methodological procedure is qualitative, based on: Munanga (2005), which highlights racism and prejudice institutionalized in Brazilian society. Gomes (2012) relates the decolonization of curricula and ethnic-racial relations. And Gatti (2019) who analyzes teacher education in Brazil and the challenges of Brazilian education today. The aforementioned authors contribute to the deepening of the issues raised, in the sense of emphasizing educational issues in the daily lives of the needy population.

O texto supracitado tem como objetivo compreender a formação profissional na educação. A pesquisa foi realizada do dia 12 ao 21 de agosto de 2021. Foram ouvidos professores da educação básica, no sentido dar embasamento teórico - cientifico. Para tanto, o procedimento metodológico é de caráter qualitativo, tomou-se como base: Munanga (2005) que evidencia o racismo e o preconceito institucionalizado na sociedade brasileira. Gomes (2012) relaciona a descolonização dos currículos e as relações étnico-raciais. E Gatti (2019) que analisa sobre a formação de professores no Brasil e os desafios da educação brasileira na atualidade.
