Acompanhamento do perfil dos ingressantes: contribuições para avaliação do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Serviço Social da Universidade Federal de Sergipe

The text is the result of a research that analyzed the profile of newcomers to the Masters in Social Work at the Federal University of Sergipe between 2011 and 2020, in order to bring elements to the self-assessment process of the Postgraduate Program in Social Work. The exploratory research, with a quali-quantitative approach, used bibliographic and documental research as procedures and was based on the historical-dialectical materialist method. Newcomers in the indicated period were identified and the Lattes Platform was used as a data collection source to search for data in the curricula and the following information was extracted: undergraduate institution, experience in research and extension, academic production and participation in events, as last updated in the platform. It was observed that half of the freshmen had participated in a research project before entering PROSS and 25% had been involved in extension projects. With regard to productions, the record in annals of events is observed as the most common. There is a predominance of freshmen who studied at a public higher education institution and most are female, a historic mark in the profession. The results suggest the need for continuous monitoring of the student profile for the consolidation of PROSS.
