Resumo: | In its daily life, humanity is subject to experiencing fire situations that have negative consequences for property and life. In order to support analysis on the creation of more effective prevention policies, it is necessary to study the characteristics and causes of fires that affect buildings over time. The present work consists of treating and exposing data referring to fire occurrences in buildings in the State of Sergipe in the period between January 2018 and July 2022, through the analysis of 83 (eighty-three) fire expert reports made available by the Corps of Military Firefighters of the State of Sergipe (CBMSE) in the period in question. For this, it was proposed to create a form answered for each report individually, in order to create a database related to the fires that were treated throughout the study. Through data analysis, it was possible to obtain information about the types of buildings most affected by fires (single and multi-family dwellings), the initial focus and the most recurrent area of origin (respectively: air conditioner and bedroom), the presence of fire prevention systems of fire, forms of fire propagation, measurement of damage to life and property, estimation of the maximum temperature, and finally, the most frequent cause of fire (thermoelectric phenomenon). In view of the information obtained through data analysis, it was possible to notice flawed conditions regarding the safety aspect, which highlights the need for a study on the revision of electrical installations, periodic maintenance of equipment and constructive elements that delay the spread of fire. |

A fim de subsidiar análise sobre criação de políticas de prevenção mais efetivas, faz-se necessário um estudo acerca das características e causas de incêndios que acometem edificações ao longo do tempo. O presente trabalho consiste em tratar e expor dados referentes às ocorrências de incêndio em edificações no Estado de Sergipe no período entre janeiro de 2018 e julho de 2022, através da análise de 83 (oitenta e três) laudos de perícia de incêndio disponibilizados pelo Corpo de Bombeiros Militar do Estado de Sergipe (CBMSE) no período em questão. Para isso, foi proposta a criação de um formulário respondido para cada laudo individualmente, de forma a criar um banco de dados relativo aos incêndios que foram tratados ao longo do estudo. Através da análise dos dados foi possível obter informações sobre os tipos de edificações mais acometidas por incêndios (habitações uni e multifamiliares), o foco inicial e zona de origem mais reincidente (respectivamente: ar condicionado e quarto), a presença de sistemas de prevenção de incêndio, formas de propagação do fogo, mensuração dos danos relativos à vida e ao patrimônio, estimativa da temperatura máxima, e por fim, a causa de incêndio mais frequente (fenômeno termoelétrico).
