Resumo: Introduction: A complete functional kinesiological evaluation can help reduce comorbidities and guide a therapeutic plan compatible with the unique needs of women. Objectives: To analyze the clinical and kinetic-functional profile of puerperae in an immediate period, noting the main alterations and comparing the functional characteristics according to the mode of delivery and parity. Materials and methods: A retrospective longitudinal field study was carried out at the Zacarias Júnior Maternity Hospital, Lagarto (SE), from November 2015 to February 2017. A total of 307 Functional Kinesiological Assessment cards were analyzed for women in the Immediate Puerperium. After weighing the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the datasheets evaluated totaled 297. A descriptive analysis was performed by means of percentage, mean and standard deviation. The T-test was applied to compare the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Abdominal Straight Muscle Dysthesis (ARMD) (p <0.05). Study approved by the Ethics and Research Committee on Human Beings of the Federal University of Sergipe (CAEE nº 61988416.0.0000.5546). Results: It was observed that 53.2% of parturients underwent vaginal delivery and 46.8% underwent cesarean section. 55.69% of the puerperal women had an episiotomy and 49.15% of the puerperae reported non-zero VAS. Regarding DMRA, 54.41% of the puerperae had values greater than 3 cm. Intestinal constipation was more prevalent in women undergoing cesarean section. The last variable analyzed was difficulty in breastfeeding, found in 27.27% (n = 81). Final considerations: The main functional alterations were: incisional pain, intestinal constipation and difficulties to breastfeed. Abdominal discomfort, pain and constipation were more significant in women undergoing cesarean section.
