As práticas de terapeutas ocupacionais junto às crianças em serviços de saúde no Brasil: uma revisão integrativa

Resumo: | Working with the child population is one of the most structured and developed areas of occupational therapy in Brazil, the profession seeks to contribute to the development, autonomy and social participation of this public. This study sought to identify and analyze the practices of occupational therapists with the child population (0-12 years) in health services from the Brazilian scientific literature between 2015 and 2020. The method used was the integrative review of the in the literature, the descriptors “Occupational Therapy”, “Child(s)”, “Childhood” and “Child Development” were used in the SCIELO and LILACS databases and in national occupational therapy journals. Data analysis took place through thematic content analysis. A total of 364 articles were found, of which 44 made up the final sample, the articles were produced by 167 authors who originated mainly from the Southeast region, linked to public education institutions. Practices were developed at different levels of health care, and therefore, thematic categories emerged for analysis: 1) Practices carried out in Primary or territorial care services; 2) Practices performed in Secondary Care services; and 3) Practices carried out in Tertiary Care services, such practices were carried out directly, with children, and indirectly, with family members, caregivers, school and/or health staff. It is concluded that the work of Occupational Therapy with children is extensive, the area continues to develop, structure and consolidate in the country, in search of increasingly qualified, comprehensive and intersectoral assistance. |

Buscou-se, neste estudo, identificar as práticas de terapeutas ocupacionais junto à população infantil (0-12 anos) em serviços de saúde a partir da literatura científica brasileira entre os anos 2015 e 2020. O método utilizado foi a revisão integrativa da literatura, para a busca utilizou-se os descritores “Terapia Ocupacional”, “Criança(s)”, “Infância” e “Desenvolvimento Infantil”, nas bases de dados SCIELO e LILACS e em periódicos nacionais de Terapia Ocupacional. A análise de dados ocorreu por meio da análise de conteúdo temática. Foram encontrados 364 artigos, dos quais 44 compuseram a amostra final, os artigos foram produzidos por 167 autores que tinham origem principalmente da região Sudeste, ligados a instituições de ensino públicas. As práticas foram desenvolvidas nos diferentes níveis de atenção à saúde, diante disso, emergiram-se para análise as categorias temáticas: 1) Práticas realizadas em serviços de Atenção Primária ou territoriais; 2) Práticas realizadas em serviços de Atenção Secundária; e 3) Práticas realizadas em serviços de Atenção Terciária, tais práticas foram realizadas de forma direta, com as crianças, e de forma indireta, com familiares, cuidadores, escola e/ou equipe de saúde.
