“Só rindo” da violência antropofágica em O cobrador, de Rubem Fonseca

Resumo: This study is an interpretative reading of the work The Collector by Rubem Fonseca. It has as general objective to analyze how and why “collectors” are formed and how violence is practiced by the character as a form of charge that, from the perspective of the narrator, are fruits of the unequal Brazilian social context that creates, simultaneously, of a side and on another wealthy people. For this, was made an analysis of the character’s profile the Collector and the acts of violence that he practices as “charging acts”; as well as the analysis of character’s profile who are their victims, in order to understand what and how he charges them. Finally, the description of the psychological profile of the protagonist character was made. This study is justified by understanding that violence is an ill that plagues society and that is represented in the literature and, specifically, through this character cold and revolted who stars the story “The Collector” of the writer Rubem Fonseca. This is a narrative in which the violence is detected in a mimetic way, revealing the experience with the world of crime and the violence experienced by the author, while he was a police commissioner. The methodology used was the literary analysis, and the theoretical foundation was supported in the studies developed by: BRAIT (2006); CANDIDO (2007); MOISÉS (2004 , 2008). This work intends to contribute to contemporary studies about violence in the literature and with the critical fortune of Rubem Fonseca’s work.

This work intends to contribute to contemporary studies about violence in the literature and with the critical fortune of Rubem Fonseca’s work.Este trabalho é uma leitura interpretativa da obra O Cobrador, de Rubem Fonseca, e teve como objetivo geral analisar como e por que se formam “cobradores” e como a violência é praticada pela personagem como uma forma de cobrança que, na perspectiva do narrador, são frutos do contexto social brasileiro desigual que cria, simultaneamente, de um lado pobres e grupos marginalizados e, de outro, pessoas abastadas. Para isso, foi feita uma análise do perfil da personagem O cobrador a partir dos atos de violência que ele pratica, como “atos de cobrança”; assim como a análise do perfil das personagens que são suas vítimas, a fim de compreender o que e como cobra delas; e por fim foi feita a descrição do perfil psicológico da personagem protagonista. Tal estudo se justifica por compreender que a violência é um mal que assola a sociedade e que está representado na literatura e, especificamente, na personagem fictícia, fria e revoltada que protagoniza o conto “O Cobrador” do escritor Rubem Fonseca. Esta é uma narrativa em que a violência é flagrada de forma mimética, revelando a experiência com o mundo do crime e com a violência vivenciada pelo autor, enquanto foi comissário de polícia. A metodologia utilizada foi a análise literária, e a fundamentação teórica teve respaldo nos estudos desenvolvidos por: BRAIT (2006); CANDIDO (2007); MOISÉS (2004 e 2008).
