The writer Caio Fernando Abreu (1948-1996) showed a great job in the literary creation, writing narratives beyond the literary movement that was part or the academy has understood. He exemplifies himself as a representative of the 1970 generation and his role as a short story writer who provided novelty in technique and literary creation. Of the writer's work, the presence of LGBTQI+ characters and human feelings stand out, as the predominant themes of his texts and promoting him the designation as “biographer of emotion”, in addition to the narrative focus as a cinematographic camera, dialogues and reframing. However, in this last sense of dialogues, there is a work to reception a culture or literatures. Following this path, the work sought to go beyond emotion, from the queer and social perspective, exploring a certain reception visualized in Caio Fernando Abreu's narratives, the classic reception. The purpouse is to analyze the writer's tales in na approach of classical reception, in how the narratives promote an reference to the culture of ancient Greece, the Greeks and Roman gods and other mythical beings, words of Greek origin, also texts and writers found in the writer's work. For this, it relied on the works published in life by Caio Fernando Abreu: Inventário do ir-remedíavel (1970), O ovo apunhalado (1975), Pedras de Calcutá (1977), Morangos mofados (1982), Os dragões não conhecem o paraíso (1988) and Ovelhas negras (1995).
