Resumo: Background: In view of the high mortality rates due to Cardiovascular Diseases in the world, there is a need to evaluate subclinical atherosclerosis through the stratification of the main risk factors and the correct choice of the diagnostic modality. The Calcium Score is highlighted as a diagnostic and prognostic tool capable of reclassifying the risk of the patients evaluated. The objective of this study was to compare the clinical characteristics of the patients with indication of the achievement of the Calcium Score in different imaging services 41 cardiovascular disease in the public and private sectors of the Southeast and Northeast regions of Brazil. METHODS: This was a cross-sectional, analytical study with data collected predominantly prospectively from April 2010 to October 2017. Results: A total of 1274 patients referred by their attending physicians for the performance of ATCC were analyzed. in which 1274 patients with an average age of 58.2 ± 11.7 years were evaluated, 387 of the Southeastern Public Service, 155 of the Northeast Public and 732 patients of the Private Northeast Service. High frequencies of factors associated with cardiovascular risk were observed, as well as the presence of symptoms as an indication criterion. Conclusion: There was a heterogeneity in the clinical characteristics of the patients evaluated by the Calcium Score between the four services, especially for age, male and female frequency, cardiovascular risk factors (dyslipidemia and SAH), family history, symptom frequency and clinical symptoms (precordialgias and dyspnea). The indication motivated by the positivity of the ischemic test and the presence of symptoms presented a difference between the groups. However, the Degree of Calcification found did not present any difference in the distribution between services.
