Dança do ventre: o sagrado feminino

Resumo: The article discusses belly dancing from a historical perspective and aims to investigate the construction of the social imaginary in belly dancing, verifying how the historical and cultural aspects relate to the idea of the sacred feminine. Its guiding quastion was: What extent can the social imaginary about the sensuality and sexualization of belly dancing be related to the sacred feminine? To discuss these themes, Maffesoli (2001) is atken as a reference for conceptualizing the social imaginary, Said (2007) for orientalismo and Maconato (2016) for the sacred feminine. This is a literature review article was used as a methodological procedure for the construction of its theoretical framework, as well as for doctoral theses, master’s dissertations, course conclusion works and books related to the theme. The relevance of this work can be seen in its contributions to the academic Community, as well as tobelly dance teachers and dancers, taking into account tht there are few publications on the sacred feminine in the academic environment. Academic works were found that were published from 2006 to 2022 and printed and digital books that were published from 1993 to 2022 related to belly dance and sacred feminine. In this way, it is concluded that belly dancing pemeates through crossing of various times and custos which have a impact in the social imagination of this style of dance. Thus, the sacred feminine can bring the feminine essence in its bulge, demonstrating that the elements of nature are presnt in us and that, regardless of individual biotype, everyone can practice belly dancing.

Teve como questão norteadora: em que medida o imaginário social sobre a sensualidade e sexualização da dança do ventre podem se relacionar com o sagrado feminino? Para discutir estes temática toma-se como referência Maffesoli (2001) para conceituação do imaginário social, Said (2007) para o orientalismo e Marconato (2016) para o sagrado feminino. Trata-se de um artigo de revisão de literatura no qual foi utilizado como procedimento metodológico para construção do seu referencial teórico a seleção de artigos científicos como também por teses de doutorado, dissertações de mestrado, trabalhos de conclusão de curso e livros relacionados ao tema. A relevância deste trabalho pode ser percebida nas contribuições dele para a comunidade acadêmica, bem como para professoras e dançarinas da dança do ventre levando em consideração que existem poucas publicações sobre o sagrado feminino no meio acadêmico. Foram encontrados trabalhos acadêmicos que foram publicados desde o ano 2006 a 2022 e livros impressos e digitais que foram publicados desde 1993 a 2022 relacionados a dança do ventre e sagrado feminino. Desta forma, conclui-se que a dança do ventre perpassa por atravessamentos de variadas épocas e costumes os quais trazem impactos no imaginário social deste estilo de dança.
