Foot-and-mouth disease is an acute infectious disease that affects cattle, buffaloes, goats, sheep and pigs, highly transmissible, affecting production and world economy. The objective of this work was to carry out a survey of the vaccination scenario against foot-and-mouth disease in cattle, in rural properties in the municipality of Lagarto - SE. Data referring to the vaccination panorama were collected through the Animal Sanitary Defense Service of the Agricultural Development Company of Sergipe (EMDAGRO). Thus, the data comprise the results of the first stage of vaccination in the year 2020 until the second stage of vaccination in the year 2022. In the municipality of Lagarto/SE, considering the average of the years 2020 to 2022, there were 1863 properties registered in the EMDAGRO and of these, 1663 (89.7%) had a vaccination certificate. During the period studied, in campaigns 2020.1, 2021.1 and 2022.2, aimed at animals of all ages, 95.4% coverage of vaccinated animals was recorded. The 2020.2, 2021.2 and 2022.1 campaigns, aimed at young animals (up to 24 months), had an average of 95.3% of vaccinated animals. The present work points to an efficient inspection work of the Animal Sanitary Defense Service of EMDAGRO, in the stages of vaccination against foot-and-mouth disease in the Municipality of Lagarto, in view of the results indicated in the vaccination campaigns from the years 2020 to 2022, suggesting that Sergipe has the foot-and-mouth disease-free status, with vaccination.
