The Porto D'Antas district, located in the northern region of Aracaju, is marked by a social vulnerability historical, with habitations located in areas susceptible to natural disasters associated with landslides and flash floods. These processes generate risks that are generally intensified by anthropogenic interventions and potentialized during intense rains, which, combined with unstable sandy lands of steep slopes, can cause material or human damage. Despite of the recent data from the Brazilian Atlas of natural disasters, the number of the Civil Defense visits related to landslides is high in this region compared to the entire city, especially in june and august of each year. The results obtained from the house-to-house mapping of two slopes, called pre-sector 1, allowed the interpretation of 11 risk sectors, with 70 people at high risk and 80 people at medium risk. Now, there is no need for family removals or houses interdictions. Despite this, it is recommended as a preventive measure the monitoring of the sectors identified with high and medium of landslide risk to the evaluation within the period of one year to verify the need to modify the degree of risk. In addition, the mapping is suggested following the same methodological routine for the other slopes of the district
