Resumo: This article describes waste management in a handling pharmacy located in the state of Bahia, from the collection of the raw material to its correct disposal, as well as its treatment. Waste from the handling pharmacy is potentially hazardous waste and may cause environmental impacts. The article has a qualitative approach, with a descriptive and exploratory character, with the intention of studying in a wide way, the waste management in a master pharmacy. It was carried a case study at the company studied through the interview answered by the pharmacy manager that the waste is identified, stored, stored in a specific place, then collected by outsourced service employees and assigned correctly. Thus, the company meets the requirements of environmental legislation for its waste management. The company should go beyond compliance with legislation, adopting a proactive stance on environmental protection.

Os resíduos provenientes da farmácia de manipulação são resíduos potencialmente perigosos e podem causar impactos ambientais. O artigo tem uma abordagem qualitativa, com um caráter descritivo e exploratório, com o intuito de estudar de maneira ampla, a gestão de resíduos em uma farmácia magistral. Foi feito um estudo de caso na empresa estudada através da entrevista respondida pela gestora da farmácia que os resíduos são identificados, acondicionados, armazenados em local específico, para depois ser coletado por funcionários de serviços terceirizados e ter sua destinação correta.
