Resumo: The development of cities ususally is followed by population increase and urban densification. The execution of new constructions and remodelings in this urbanized enviroment bring consequences to the neighborhood’s life quality. Despite of inconveniences created by progress of the work, like noise pollution, waste production and change of the traffic in the region, the procedures and services can affect the buildings too. These problems appear in form of pathological manifestations, affecting the durability and the peformance of the structure, in addition to provoking discomfort to users. This work analyses these impacts, based in information in brazilian law and technical norms and in the elaboration of a quantitative survey. Concluding that the execution of new constructions and remodelings is reason of appearence of pathological manifestations in the near structures, there may also be relation between these damages and construction failures of the own property

A execução de novas construções ou reformas nesse meio urbanizado causa consequências à qualidade de vida da vizinhança. Além dos incômodos devido ao próprio andamento da obra, como a poluição sonora, produção de resíduos e alteração do tráfego da região, os procedimentos e serviços podem afetar também as edificações. Esses problemas se apresentam na forma de manifestações patológicas, afetando a durabilidade e desempenho da estrutura, além de gerar desconforto aos usuários. O presente trabalho analisa esses impactos, com base em informações trazidas na legislação brasileira e nas normas técnicas sobre o assunto e na realização de um levantamento quantitativo.
