Resumo: This study aims to analyze the Integrated Management System (IMS) of the Federal University of Sergipe (FUS) regarding the execution of tasks and decision making, in the perception of teachers and managers of the courses of the Center for Applied Social Sciences (CASS). For this purpose, the research was based on a theoretical basis on systems, information systems and Enterprise Resource Planning, through which it was sought to demonstrate that, in order to improve their performance and keep themselves updated, organizations have come identifying the need to incorporate modern information systems, emphasizing a type of a more systemic approach that adapts to the reality of globalized and highly technological markets. Thus, the research was characterized as descriptive with a qualitative and quantitative approach. In addition, as a strategy, the case study method was adopted, using two different research instruments: the application of structured questionnaires and the application of semi-structured interviews. From the results obtained, the main tasks that are carried out by both audiences in this system were evidenced, such as: monitoring and launching the frequency of students, analysis, monitoring, response and sending processes, monitoring , requesting and posting a vacation. Problems were also identified, which in the perception of teachers and managers, directly interfere with the use and results obtained through the system. Examples of these problems are: the constant maintenance of the system during office hours, the lack of training for users of the system, and the lack of integration of the IMS with other sites, systems and between its own modules. Thus, it was concluded that the Integrated Management System of Federal de Sergipe meets most of the demands of the investigated audiences, however, in the perception of its users, it still needs improvements in areas such as training, maintenance and flexibility.

Para tanto, a pesquisa foi fundamentada utilizando um embasamento teórico sobre sistemas, sistemas de informações e Enterprise Resource Planning, através dos quais buscou-se demonstrar que, na atualidade, com o intuito de melhorarem seu desempenho e manterem-se atualizadas, as organizações vêm identificando a necessidade de incorporar modernos sistemas de informações, dando ênfase a um tipo de abordagem mais sistêmica e que se adapta a realidade de mercados globalizados e altamente tecnológicos. Desse modo, a pesquisa foi caracterizada como descritiva com abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa. Além disso, como estratégia, adotou-se o método de estudo de caso, utilizando dois instrumentos de pesquisa diferentes: a aplicação de questionários estruturados e a aplicação de entrevistas semiestruturadas. A partir dos resultados obtidos, foram evidenciadas as principais tarefas que são realizadas por ambos os públicos nesse sistema, tais como: o acompanhamento e o lançamento de frequência dos discentes, a análise, o acompanhamento, a resposta e o envio de processos, o acompanhamento, a solicitação e o lançamento de férias. Foi identificada também a existência de problemas, que na percepção dos docentes e dos gestores, interferem diretamente na utilização e nos resultados obtidos através do sistema. São exemplos desses problemas: as constantes manutenções do sistema em horário de expediente, a falta de capacitação para os usuários do sistema, e a falta de integração do SIG com outros sites, sistemas e entre os seus próprios módulos.
