The construction industry is a competitive sector and, for this reason, is increasingly demanding. In Brazil, many are still carried out based on the experience of masters, without the application of management work techniques. Therefore, the need to plan and control the schedule, in order to avoid delays, becomes essential. The characterization of the planning and control of a set of works of strategies that, when used, took advantage of the production of the productive system. The lack or planning of planned planning is the cause of many planned as structured and its implementation can bring considerable gains to the enterprise. The present work had as main objective the planning of a work in the elaboration of a work that was based on the means of collecting EAP data, which were analyzed in a city through an MS Project software. Among the objectives, check the sample deadlines and whether the goals were achieved. Based on the literature review, the case study showed that an application of techniques can improve performance on several levels. The study reinforces the idea that planning should always be controlled to provide more accurate management information and improve process efficiency and increase budget quality.
