Avaliação da qualidade do transporte público coletivo por ônibus nos trajetos para a Universidade Federal de Sergipe sob a perspectiva dos usuários

The São Cristóvão Campus of the Federal University of Sergipe receives a large number of students, teachers, servers and visitors every day. Much of these public travels to the Campus by public transportation by bus. Considering the importance of this system for urban mobility, this research sought to analyze the quality of the public transportation system by bus from the perspective of its users. The stretches studied are those that connect the Metropolitan Region of Aracaju to the Terminal Campus, which meets all the demand on the campus. The methodology applied was divided into four stages: literature review, characterization of the field of study, research development and application, as well as results and analyses. From the literature review, 12 indicators that were most relevant were chosen, which were evaluated through a questionnaire applied to campus attendees, using Google Forms. The questionnaire was divided into two parts, where the first draws the interviewee's profile and the second part measure the degree of satisfaction and importance of each of the indicators, from the user's perception. 45 responses were returned. The results showed that respondents are aged between 18 and 27 years, of which 55% go to university by bus and 34% by car. The average commute time for those traveling by car to campus is 25 minutes, while those using the bus, 50 minutes. According to the survey, the indicators most poorly rated by users were comfort, safety, routes and frequency of service, while the best rated were travel time and reliability. From this study, the importance of the public transportation system by bus was realized for the patrons of the São Cristóvão/UFS campus, from civil engineering course, requiring adjustments and improvements in public policies and management so that the quality indicators can obtain a better performance in the evaluations. Alternatives such as the creation of exclusive lines that leave the integrated terminals for the Terminal Campus, or the increase in the number of trips of lines that already arrive at this terminal at peak times, could minimize the low perception of the quality of the transport system, making -the most attractive, offering more safety, related to accidents and robberies involving the buses, and comfort, regarding to the capacity of the bus, to users.
