Resumo: Some teaching methodologies may make teaching Biology demotivating and uninteresting for students, among which the use of textbooks as a didactic resource and teaching without articulation to their social and environmental implications is highlighted. The plurality of teaching methodologies is necessary for the teaching of biology, since this science is based on scientific methods and sometimes not observable processes in the classroom. Among the topics within the Biological Sciences that involve complex biological processes, we have Biotechnology, which is a multidisciplinary science and of great socio-environmental relevance. The present work verified how the biotechnological aspects are approached in some books of Biology for High School, through the analysis of the content present in them, having as purpose the elaboration of a didactic game for students of High School on techniques and applications of Genetic Engineering and Techniques. In this work the TEG is presented: Gene Engineering Board, didactic material proposed for the teaching of Biotechnology.

A pluralidade de metodologias de ensino se faz necessário para o ensino de Biologia, uma vez que esta ciência é fundamentada em métodos científicos e processos por vezes não observáveis em sala de aula. Entre os temas dentro das Ciências Biológicas que envolvem processos biológicos complexos, tem-se a Biotecnologia, que trata-se de uma ciência multidisciplinar e de grande relevância socioambiental. O presente trabalho verificou como os aspectos biotecnológicos são abordados em alguns livros de Biologia para o Ensino Médio, através da análise do conteúdo presente nestes, tendo como finalidade a elaboração de um jogo didático para estudantes do Ensino Médio sobre técnicas e aplicações da Engenharia Genética e técnicas associadas.
