E tem maracatu em Sergipe? : um estudo sobre o Baque em Aracaju

This research aims to trace an analysis of the cultural movement of maracatu in Sergipe, emphasizing the aracajuano group called Asè d’Orí. It is understood that maracatu is a strong cultural manifestation in the Northeast and looking at the context of Sergipe, little is known about the movement within the state. This text proposes to describe what the maracatu would be, what its historical context is and how it has unfolded throughout its existence. What is sought then is to visualize the presence of maracatu in the state, how it manifests itself within a society and to analyze what are the socio-cultural issues that cross those social groups. When cutting out the maracatu in Aracaju, we try to visualize the structure, the shape of the thud, what are the values that are included in the movement, the people who compose it, draw a profile of its participants and understand how the maracatu arrives in the different realities of the people there. We seek to achieve these objectives through readings and analyzes of works that deal with maracatu in general and within Sergipe, capture documentaries that deal with the theme, conduct interviews with people considered important to obtain answers about the demonstration and, in addition, do an ethnography to better visualize how maracatu crosses Sergipe. From this, we can visualize the presence of maracatu within the state, understanding its differences with other states in which maracatu is present, being able to analyze its social compositions and visualizing what maracatu is besides music.
