Resumo: | Ecology teaching that prioritizes the approach and understanding of socio-environmental problems, such as the impacts of conventional agricultural production, becomes essential to help in the integral formation of students. The present work aims to reflect, based on the specific literature and legal documents, about the possibilities and challenges for the approach of Agroecology in Ecology teaching. The articulation of ecological and agroecological knowledge can help students understand that it is possible to have a sustainable agriculture that provides food and nutritional security, while restoring ecosystem services and biodiversity. However, making the connection between these areas of knowledge faces some challenges, such as the necessary break with the fragmentation of didactic content and the real experience of interdisciplinarity. It is concluded that such obstacles can be overcome through the adoption of curricular reforms along with methodologies and didactic strategies that promote students' active participation. For that, a solid teacher training (initial and continuing included) that prioritizes contextualization and helps in the development of students' socioenvironmental responsibility is necessary as well improvements in curricular and methodological. |

O presente trabalho tem o objetivo de realizar uma reflexão, baseada na literatura específica e documentos legais, a respeito das possibilidades e desafios para a abordagem da Agroecologia no ensino de Ecologia. A articulação dos conhecimentos ecológicos com os agroecológicos pode ajudar o discente a entender que é possível haver uma agricultura sustentável, que fornece segurança alimentar e nutricional, enquanto restaura os serviços ecossistêmicos e a biodiversidade. Contudo, a concretização da conexão entre essas áreas do conhecimento encontra alguns desafios, a exemplo do necessário rompimento com a fragmentação dos conteúdos didáticos e a real vivência da interdisciplinaridade.
