This work is a research on the importance of lighting in the commercial environment and the role that this aspect of the project plays in the design of spaces by users in order to attract customers and draw attention to the product on display. It is developed through a brief bibliographical review on artificial light and its general aspects, followed by a study of ways and solutions to light the commercial environment, through the analysis of reference projects, and finally, a case study with the proposal application of knowledge gathered in guidelines. It is believed that the research in question is of fundamental value for studies in the field of Architecture, as it seeks to demonstrate, through a case study, the influence that lighting has on its users, in addition to dealing with a subject that is rarely or rarely discussed. in academia and architectural production, which is the lighting project for commercial environments. The results will contribute to the academic community in order to clarify essential points for understanding the influence of lighting as environmental comfort and individual comfort.
