RESUMO: O presente artigo busca refletir, a partir do conto “A historiadora obstinada”, da escritora nigeriana Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, sobre a questão da voz da mulher subalterna e da sublimação e da retomada da cultura no pós-colonialismo. O conto publicado em 2017, no livro No seu pescoço, aponta para a discussão sobre a necessidade da criação de um lugar de fala e também sobre a quem é dado o “direito” de falar e ser ouvido. Nortearemos a questão da subalternidade utilizando reflexões contidas do livro Pode o subalterno falar? (2010), da escritora indiana Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak; a questão da autoridade do discurso através de A ordem do discurso (1999), de Michel Focault, e a problemática do sujeito colonizado através de O local da cultura, de Homi Bhabha (1998). Cultura.   ABSTRACT: This article tries to reflect, from the short-story "The Headstrong Historian", by Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, on the question of the voice of the subaltern woman and the sublimation and the resumption of the culture in the postcolonialism. The story,published in 2017 in the book The thing around your neck, points to the debate on the need to create a place of speech and also on whom is given the "right" to speak and be heard. We will address the issue of subalternity using reflections from the book Can the Subaltern Speak? (2010) by the Indian writer Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak; the question of the authority of discourse through Michel Focault's The Order of Discourse (1999) and the problematic of the subject colonized through Homi Bhabha's The Location of Culture (1998).  KEYWORDS: Subalternity.
