RESUMO: O presente trabalho tem por objetivo a investigação da linguagem apresentada no conto O leite em pó da bondade humana do escritor paraense HaroldoMaranhão. O trabalho é norteado por perguntas que, dentre as quais, podemos destacar: a linguagem utilizada no conto apresenta uma “linguagem abjeto-grotesca” ou uma linguagem abjeta e em outro momento grotesca? Com base na análise do conto e nas assertivas de alguns teóricos e estudiosos das categorias em questão, podemos dizer que a linguagem apresentada possui características de ambas, pois foi percebido que, no conto, a aparição de uma categoria se faz presente na apropriação da outra e as duassurgem e se auxiliam como forma de potencializar o asco e o repúdio, uma vez que, em O leite em pó da bondade humana, o abjeto adquire potência ao se apropriar de alguns elementos do realismo grotesco e este só surge na necessidade daquele. Para essa investigação, são usadas as conjecturas de Victor Hugo (1988), Bakhtin (1987), Kayser(1986), Seligmann-Silva(2005), Pereira (2009), Araújo (2009). PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Linguagem. Abjeto. Grotesco. Literatura.        ABSTRACT: This article aims to research the language present in the short story Milk Powder of Human Kindness by writer Haroldo Maranhão. This works to be based by questions, that between it, we can to highlight: the language used in the short storyintroduce a “language abject-grotesque” or a language one moment abject, the next grotesque? With grounding in analysis of the short story and in some theoretical studious of the classes in question, we can to say what the language introducedpossesses characteristic both. Because, was realizing, in short story, what the presentation of the one class introduce yourself in handles of the other and the two appears and aids as way of the to increase disgust and revolt, because, in Milk Powder of Human Kindness, the abject acquires power when takes advantage of the “Realism Grotesque” and this only appears in necessity of the that.
