Nesse espaço ficcional, a literatura enquanto representação delineia o fluxo contínuo do artístico e cultural, no longo dito e não dito do Grande Sertão: Veredas. Literatura roseana. ABSTRACT: João Guimarães Rosa, in the national and foreign scenarios, distinguished himself by the primacy in translating into words, the word, things, and, doubtlessly, the literary representation of the creatures, the human and the hinterlands, universalizing them. Way back into 1956, arises The devil to pay in the backlands, in a fictional texture, that highlighted, in his stories and picturesque cases, the difference in relation to literature made until then. In this rosean hinterlands, Diadorim and Riobaldo end the world, in metaphysical experiences of presence of the absence. The methodological approach of the work is employed by social, fictitious and literary representation and it was noted, in this investigation, that the rosean hinterlands, with the characterization of the character Diadorim, in fluid representation, occurs and concurs to the possibility of the feminine empowering. In that fictional space, literature as a representation outlines the continuous flux of the artistic and the cultural, on the long spoken and unspoken on The devil to pay in the backlands. For that argument, it is discussed the rosean backlands and its imbrications with the relations of gender, from the theoretical scope of the following authors: Antonio Candido (2014), Beth Brait (1985), Erich Auerbach (2013), Terry Eagleton (2006), Walter Benjamim (1994), Jacques Derrida (2004), Michelle Perrot (1995), among others.
