Inquietações em Cláudio Manuel da Costa e Carlos Drummond de Andrade: presságios decoloniais nas poéticas árcade e moderna?

Through a diachronic, synchronic and comparative reading between texts by poets from Minas Gerais; the arcade, Cláudio Manuel da Costa, and the modernist, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, we propose to discuss some aspects related to colonial concepts in contrast with the modernist ideas of rupture. The tension that is denoted to be present in the different literary movements seems to be a timeless trait whose permanence, supposedly, brings closer the dialogue with the visions pertinent to the formation of decolonial thought. The discussion that is based on the aforementioned dialogue established between poetic text and some (de)colonial theoretical views considers factors pertinent to the place of belonging, the mining origin, and the aspects of the landscape of the land of gold, in addition to the female figure and its conflicts erased and/or evidenced in the Claudian and Drummondian poems. The introductory “Écloga” of the Obras Poéticas and the “Soneto II”, from the Obras, by Cláudio, and the poems “A montanha pulverizada” and “Negra”, from Boitempo, are the literary excerpts that dialogue among themselves and with the theory, in this study.
