Balanophoraceae and Velloziaceae, two new records for Vitória da Conquista, Bahia

Resumo: Two new occurrences for the flora of Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, Brazil are presented: Barbacenia aff. bahiana L.B. Sm. (Velloziaceae) and Langsdorffia hypogaea Mart. (Balanophoraceae), these being the first records for both families in the municipality. Barbacenia aff. bahiana was recorded outside the environmental protection area on a rocky outcrop along the Jurema creek in the District of Pradoso. Langsdorffia hypogaea was found in a area with small shrubs and lots of leaf litter in Serra do Periperi Municipal Park. Both locations have a strong anthropic action, in Jurema extraction by rocks from the outcrop and in Serra do Periperi invasions and irregular subdivisions are causing a strong environmental impact.

Barbacenia aff. bahiana fue registrada fuera de área de protección ambiental, en afloramiento rocoso a lo largo del riacho Jurema, en el Distrito de Pradoso. Langsdorffia hypogaea se encontró en una zona con arbustos pequeños y mucha hojarasca en el Parque Municipal de la Serra do Periperi. Ambas localidades presentan una fuerte acción antrópica; en Jurema, la extracción de rocas del afloramiento y en la Serra do Periperi, las invasiones y parcelaciones irregulares están causando un fuerte impacto ambiental.São apresentadas duas novas ocorrências para a flora de Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, Brasil: Barbacenia aff. bahiana L.B. Sm. (Velloziaceae) e Langsdorffia hypogaea Mart. (Balanophoraceae), sendo estes os primeiros registros para ambas as famílias no município. Barbacenia aff. bahiana foi registrada fora de área de proteção ambiental em afloramento rochoso ao longo do riacho Jurema no Distrito de Pradoso. Langsdorffia hypogaea foi encontrada em uma área com pequenos arbustos e muita serapilheira no Parque Municipal da Serra do Periperi.
