Resumo: This article aims to analyze how the reality of criminalized abortion reinforces inequalities of gender, race/ethnicity, and class, which are co-produced within the context of sexage, understood here as the appropriation of women by men, reducing them to the statusof thing. The bibliographic and documentary research was carried out, from the perspective of materialistic, historical and dialectical analysis. The main conclusion is that criminalization reinforces the logic of social inequalities in Brazil and the world. This is because poor and black women are the most affected, those who die the most, and because almost all unsafe abortions in the world occur in the peripheric economies. Thus, the consequences of criminalized abortion, whether moral, health or economic, mainly impact poor, black, young women living in peripheral economies.

Revista KatálysisRevista KatálysisRevista Katálysis2018-11-30info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/article/view/1982-02592018v21n3p45210.1590/1982-02592018v21n3p452Revista Katálysis; Vol. 21 No. 3 (2018): Social Work: Gender, Race/Ethnicity, Generations and Sexuality; 452-470Revista Katálysis; Vol. 21 Núm. 3 (2018): Serviço Social: Gênero, raça/etnia, gerações e sexualidade; 452-470Revista Katálysis; v. 21 n. 3 (2018): Serviço Social: Gênero, raça/etnia, gerações e sexualidade; 452-4701982-02591414-4980reponame:Revista Katálysis (Online)instname:Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)instacron:UFSCporenghttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/article/view/1982-02592018v21n3p452/37960https://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/article/view/1982-02592018v21n3p452/37961Copyright (c) 2020 Mirla Cisne, Giulia Maria Jenelle Cavalcante de Oliveira, Viviane Vaz Castroinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCisne, MirlaCavalcante de Oliveira, Giulia Maria JenelleCastro, Viviane Vaz2019-01-07T13:57:27Zoai:periodicos.ufsc.br:article/55273Revistahttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/indexPUBhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/oairevistakatalysis@gmail.com || kataly@cse.ufsc.br || revistakatalysis@hotmail.com1982-02591414-4980opendoar:2019-01-07T13:57:27Revista Katálysis (Online) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)false
