Resumo: This article analyzes the current stage of capitalist accumulation in Latin America. It relies on a socio-historical approach that engages with components of Marx's critique of the political-economy. Also, this work is based on observations from part of Marxist tradition on imperialism, colonialism, dependence, the bourgeois revolution carried out through colonialism, conservative modernization, and the unequal and combined development. In this, the composition of the dominant classes and Latin American states. The text blends the author's Latin American experience and the studies carried out in research projects he has coordinated since 2011 in the field of Social Work.
