Resumo: This paper analyzes the implications of the intensification of the “social issue” and the sexual division of labor in the mental health of women in the context of a pandemic (COVID-19) in the municipality of Aracati-CE. The research is based on Marx’s critical social theory and has a qualitative-quantitative approach comprising three stages: the exploratory stage, bibliographical research and field research. The study was carried out with twelve women through semi-structured interviews and showed that they experience a process of production of mental suffering due to the worsening of the “social issue” and the sexual division of labor in the current pandemic.

Revista KatálysisRevista KatálysisRevista Katálysis2023-04-26info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/article/view/8828710.1590/1982-0259.2023.e88287Revista Katálysis; Vol. 26 No. 1 (2023): Crise Sanitária, Territórios e Pobreza; 43-53Revista Katálysis; Vol. 26 Núm. 1 (2023): Crise Sanitária, Territórios e Pobreza; 43-53Revista Katálysis; v. 26 n. 1 (2023): Crise Sanitária, Territórios e Pobreza; 43-531982-02591414-4980reponame:Revista Katálysis (Online)instname:Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)instacron:UFSCporhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/article/view/88287/52562Copyright (c) 2023 Rachel Araujo de Matos Araujo Matos, Cynthia Studart Albuquerqueinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMatos, Rachel Araujo deAlbuquerque, Cynthia Studart 2023-04-26T22:52:04Zoai:periodicos.ufsc.br:article/88287Revistahttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/indexPUBhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/katalysis/oairevistakatalysis@gmail.com || kataly@cse.ufsc.br || revistakatalysis@hotmail.com1982-02591414-4980opendoar:2023-04-26T22:52:04Revista Katálysis (Online) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)false
