Resumo: Heleieth Saffioti, the brightest star of academic feminism in Brazil, was one of the godmothers of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies on Women (Núcleo de Estudos Interdisciplinares sobre a Mulher - NEIM), at the Federal University of Bahia, since its foundation in May 1983. In our almost 37 years of existence, we already count on three different generations of feminist researchers, all of them admirers of Heleieth Saffioti and for whom Woman in class society still has a lot to say and to incite reflections. In this article, two generations of our researchers - one of the oldest (Cecilia) and the other of the youngest (Maíra) - develop a conversation with Heleieth, in a reinterpretation of her ‘masterpiece’, which stands not only as her first major publication, but also as the greatest contribution of Brazilian academic feminism to the world.

En nuestros casi 37 años de existencia, tenemos al menos tres generaciones distintas de investigadoras feministas, todas ellas admiradoras de Heleieth Saffioti y para las que La mujer en la sociedad de clases: mito y realidad todavía tiene mucho que decir y hacernos pensar. En este artículo, dos generaciones de nuestras investigadoras, una de las más antiguas (Cecilia) y la otra de las más jóvenes (Maíra), desarrollan aquí una conversación con Heleieth, en una reinterpretación de lo que es la ‘obra maestra’ de esa autora, y maestra no solo por ser su primera gran publicación, sino también por ser el gran aporte del feminismo académico brasileño al mundo.Heleieth Saffioti, estrela maior do feminismo acadêmico no Brasil, foi uma das madrinhas do Núcleo de Estudos Interdisciplinares sobre a Mulher (NEIM), da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA), desde a sua fundação em maio de 1983. Nesses nossos quase 37 anos de existência, já contamos com pelo menos três diferentes gerações de pesquisadoras feministas, todas admiradoras de Heleieth Saffioti e para as quais A mulher na sociedade de classes: mito e realidade ainda tem muito a dizer e fazer pensar.
