The approach of Roberto Esposito's immunity paradigm: biopolitics and medicalization

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to provide a brief presentation of the philosophy of Esposito on biopolitics in light of his considerations on the relevance of hermeneutics "paradigm of immunization", for their understanding and their implications in the medicalization of life. We end by presenting a summary of how the Italian philosopher believes it is possible to conceive biopolitics in another semantic structure, which has life not as an object of politics but as realization of the innovative power of life.

Finalizamos por presentar un resumen de cómo el filósofo italiano cree que es posible concebir la biopolítica en otra estructura semántica, que tiene la vida no como un objeto de la política, sino como realización del poder innovador de la vida.O objeto do presente artigo é fornecer uma breve apresentação da filosofia de Esposito acerca da biopolítica à luz de suas considerações sobre a pertinência hermenêutica do “paradigma da imunização”, para seu entendimento bem com suas implicações na medicalização da vida.
