Convergences between Freud and phenomenology: an interdisciplinary look

Resumo: The purpose of this essay is to analyze some connections between psychoanalysis and phenomenology on the basis of Freud's, Husserl's and his follower’s works. The critiques of the phenomenological philosophers concerning the epistemological foundations of the psychoanalytic theory are also reviewed. The changes on the psychoanalytical concepts in the 20's began to bring together the two theories, in an interdisciplinary convergence that increased in the following decades. Hermeneutics may be seen as the connection point between psychoanalysis and phenomenology, the former focusing on sexuality and the later focusing on ontology.

Se revisan las críticas de los filósofos fenomenólogos sobre los fundamentos epistemológicos de la teoría psicoanalítica. A partir de las alteraciones ocurridas en las concepciones psicoanalíticas a partir de los años 20 se inició una aproximación entre las dos teorías rumbo a una convergencia multidisciplinar que se amplió en las décadas siguientes. La hermenéutica puede ser vista como el punto de conexión entre la psicoanálisis y la fenomenologia, la primera con foco en la sexualidad y la segunda en la ontología.O propósito deste artigo é analisar algumas conexões entre psicanálise e fenomenologia tendo como base os trabalhos de Freud, Husserl e seus seguidores. São revistas as críticas dos filósofos fenomenológicos sobre os fundamentos epistemológicos da teoria psicanalítica. Com as alterações das concepções psicanalíticas nos anos 20, iniciou-se uma aproximação entre as duas teorias, numa convergência interdisciplinar que se ampliou nas décadas seguintes.
