Resumo: | This article aims to reflect on homosexuality. It aims to verify the efforts of classical psychoanalysis to understand and define the phenomenon of homosexuality, which for many to this day is still surrounded by mystery, and to understand how the theme is treated within Christian churches and school. The author concludes that the early efforts of classical psychoanalysis to understand the phenomenon of homosexuality were intended to alleviate the suffering of those who faced the problem and sought therapeutic help. Currently, psychoanalysis/psychology tends to view homosexuality as a mere result of a social construction in order to classify individuals. In the religious sphere, Christian churches specifically, homosexuality is seen as sin and transgression of divine law and nature. However, the principles of love, justice, and grace along with the practical needs of churches tend to change in the future the perspective of churches on the subject. The school is another space in society where homosexuality manifests itself, whether in the bodies of the subjects or in educational materials. It is observed in Brazil an effort to make the school a space for the discussion of sexuality and gender issues, as well as recognition of the gender identity. |

Se trata de verificar los esfuerzos del psicoanálisis clásico para entender y definir el fenómeno de la homosexualidad que, para muchos hasta hoy todavía está rodeado por misterio, y entender cómo el tema se trata dentro de las iglesias cristianas y de la escuela. El autor concluye que los esfuerzos iniciales del psicoanálisis clásico para entender el fenómeno de la homosexualidad se destinaron a aliviar el sufrimiento de aquellos que se enfrentaron al problema y buscaron ayuda terapéutica. Actualmente, el psicoanálisis/psicología tiende a ver la homosexualidad como un mero resultado de una construcción social, a fin de clasificar a los individuos. En la esfera religiosa, las iglesias cristianas específicamente, la homosexualidad es vista como pecado y transgresión de la ley divina y de la naturaleza. Sin embargo, los principios de amor, justicia y gracia junto con las necesidades prácticas de las iglesias tienden a cambiar en el futuro, la perspectiva de las iglesias sobre el tema. La escuela es otro espacio en la sociedad donde la homosexualidad se manifiesta, sea en los cuerpos de los sujetos o en materiales educativos. Se observa en Brasil un esfuerzo para hacer de la escuela un espacio para la discusión de cuestiones de sexualidad y género, así como un esfuerzo de reconocimiento de la identidad de género.Este artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre a homossexualidade. Destina-se a verificar os esforços da psicanálise clássica para entender e definir o fenômeno da homossexualidade, que para muitos até hoje ainda é cercado por mistério, e entender como o tema é tratado dentro das igrejas cristãs e da escola. O autor conclui que os esforços iniciais da psicanálise clássica para entender o fenômeno da homossexualidade foram destinados a aliviar o sofrimento daqueles que enfrentaram o problema e procuraram ajuda terapêutica. Atualmente, a psicanálise/psicologia tende a ver a homossexualidade como um mero resultado de uma construção social, a fim de classificar os indivíduos. Na esfera religiosa, as igrejas cristãs especificamente, a homossexualidade é vista como pecado e transgressão da lei divina e da natureza. No entanto, os princípios de amor, justiça e graça, juntamente com as necessidades práticas das igrejas tendem a mudar no futuro a perspectiva de igrejas sobre o assunto. A escola é outro espaço na sociedade onde a homossexualidade manifesta-se, seja nos corpos dos sujeitos ou em materiais educativos.
