Resumo: http://dx.doi.org/10.5007/1807-1384.2016v13n3p203This research aims to discuss the meanings and characteristics present in the subjective processes of adult women linked to prostitution in a small urban center located in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul - MS. We resorted to qualitative research in psychology and to cartography as a method. Long interviews were conducted with ten (10) bio-women - women in biological terms, women with a female sexual organ (PRECIADO, 2008) - which resided and/or worked in the surveyed municipality, but varied in educational background, race/color and time dedicated to prostitution. Through Cultural Studies and Queer Theory, we noted the use of different classifications by our participants, revealing important personal positions and political struggles of these women in society and in the very practice of prostitution, as well as the deconstruction of a universal identity of the prostitute woman.

Hemos recurrido a la investigación cualitativa en psicología y como método la cartografía. Se llevaron a cabo entrevistas de larga duración con diez (10) bio-mujeres - mujeres en términos biológicos, que sostiene el órgano sexual femenino (PRECIADO, 2008) -, que resideran y/o trabajasen en el municipio investigado y nivel educativo, raza/color y variados tiempos de ejercicio de actividades en la prostitución. A la luz de los estudios culturales y la teoría Queer, observamos el uso de diferentes nomenclaturas por parte de las participantes, revelando importantes posiciones personales y las luchas políticas de estas mujeres en la sociedad y en el ejercicio de la prostitución, así como la deconstrucción de una identidad universal de la mujer prostituta.Esta pesquisa visa problematizar os significados e as particularidades presentes nos processos de subjetivação de mulheres adultas ligadas à prostituição em um pequeno centro urbano, localizado no interior do Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul - MS. Recorremos à abordagem qualitativa de pesquisa em Psicologia e como método a cartografia. Foram realizadas entrevistas de longa duração com 10 (dez) bio-mulheres – mulheres em termos biológicos, detentoras do órgão sexual feminino (PRECIADO, 2008) – que residissem e/ou trabalhassem no munícipio pesquisado e de escolaridades, raças/cores e tempo de atuação variados na prostituição.
