Resumo: This dossier focuses on one of the essential debate topics today about the territorial dimension of the new development strategies concerned with the worsening of the global socioecological crisis, that is: the challenges related to the activation and integration in networks of localized agri-food systems.For its composition, some contributions presented and debated during the VI International Conference on Localized Agri-food System - The LAFS facing the opportunities and challenges of the new global context have been gathered. The event took place in the city of Florianópolis, from May 21th to 25th of 2013. The event was promoted by the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and by the Center for the International Cooperation on Agricultural Research for Development (CIRAD). Besides UFSC and CIRAD, EPAGRI, State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC), as well as research institutes and universities from other states (UFMG, IEA/SP, UFS, UFRGS) and Mexican and Argentinian partners from the RED SIAL Latino Americana also participated in the organization of lectures, discussion tables and workshops.

Este evento fue promocionado por la Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) y por el Centro de Cooperación Internacional en Pesquisa Agronómica para el Desarrollo (CIRAD). De la organización de las conferencias, mesas redondas y talleres participaron, además de la UFSC y del CIRAD, la Empresa de Pesquisa Agropecuária e Extensão Rural de Santa Catarina (EPAGRI), la Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC), en conjunto con instituciones de pesquisa y educación con sede en otros estados (UFMG, IEA/SP, UFS, UFRGS), y también socios argentinos y mexicanos vinculados a la RED SIAL latinoamericana.Dossiê:Desenvolvimento territorial, sistemas agroalimentares localizados e ecologiaEste dossiê focaliza um dos tópicos essenciais do debate atual sobre a dimensão territorial das novas estratégias de desenvolvimento sensíveis ao agravamento da crise socioecológica global, a saber: os desafios ligados à ativação e à integração em rede de sistemas agroalimentares localizados.Para a sua composição, foram reunidas algumas das contribuições apresentadas e debatidas durante o VI Congresso Internacional sobre Sistemas Agroalimentares Localizados – Os SIAL face às oportunidades e desafios do novo contexto global, realizado na cidade de Florianópolis, no período de 21 a 25 de maio de 2013.
