Resumo: http://dx.doi.org/10.5007/2175-8077.2014v16n40p173In this paper we analyzed the linguistic dimension of the administrative action in his managerial axis in the light of John L. Austin’s Theory of Speech Acts. As an object of analysis we chose the thought of an author of the management's classical literature on the subject, Peter Drucker, that from the set of his texts, we chose the books that have contributed significantly to the development of theory and managerial practice. From them we seek to identify symbolic forms that characterize the manager’s linguistic practice. We concluded that Drucker confines and directs the use of language as well as the administrator’s communication to the company goals’ sphere, in order to obtain the compliancy from the employees.
