Resumo: | The article discusses how the communicative abundance enhanced by online spaces affects the organization of contemporary conversations in monitory democracies. It is discussed how social monitors generate specific communication flows to institutions and political actors in online social networks. The behavior of the online conversation about the Brazilian elections in 2014 is analyzed from 610 thousand comments at Folha de S. Paulo, O Estado de S. Paulo and O Globo fan pages on Facebook. The research question is: do the commentators in the three newspapers’ fan pages have similar behaviors? Also, it is proposed a typology to classify the comments. Among the results obtained, the volume of noise in the digital electoral debate is higher than the thematic comments. |

Electoral conversation in monitored democracies: a typology for analysis of comments in online social networksConversação eleitoral em democracias monitoradas: uma tipologia para análise de comentários em redes sociais on-lineThe article discusses how the communicative abundance enhanced by online spaces affects the organization of contemporary conversations in monitory democracies. Among the results obtained, the volume of noise in the digital electoral debate is higher than the thematic comments.O artigo discorre sobre como a abundância comunicativa potencializada pelos espaços on-line afeta a organização das conversações democráticas contemporâneas. Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)2019-09-23info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/politica/article/view/2175-7984.2019v18n41p29210.5007/2175-7984.2019v18n41p292Política & Sociedade; Vol. 18 No. 41 (2019); 292-327Política & Sociedade; Vol. 18 Núm. 41 (2019); 292-327Política & Sociedade; v. 18 n. 41 (2019); 292-3272175-79841677-4140reponame:Política & Sociedade (Online)instname:Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)instacron:UFSCporhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/politica/article/view/2175-7984.2019v18n41p292/40915Copyright (c) 2019 Política & Sociedadeinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCervi, Emerson UrizziCarvalho, Fernanda Cavassana de2019-09-26T16:13:16Zoai:periodicos.ufsc.br:article/55998Revistahttp://www.periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/politicaPUBhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/politica/oai||ernesto.seidl@ufsc.br|| ps@cfh.ufsc.br2175-79841677-4140opendoar:2019-09-26T16:13:16Política & Sociedade (Online) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)false |
