Resumo: The difficulties in the field of mental health of children and adolescents are analyzed in post-pandemic times. I affirm that it is necessary to be attentive to the banalization of ambiguous psychiatric diagnoses, to avoidable or unnecessary hospitalizations, as well as to the massive prescription of psychopharmacological therapeutics with serious collateral effects. We know that these types of situations will occur if we allow the sufferings caused by the pandemic to be translated as symptoms of some psychiatric disorder defined in the DSM and not as the result of the many difficulties lived during the times of Pandemic.

Consideramos que es preciso estar atentos a la banalización de diagnósticos psiquiátricos ambiguos, a las internaciones evitables o innecesarias, así como a la prescripción masiva de terapéuticas psicofarmacológicas con efectos colaterales graves. Sabemos que ese tipo de situaciones ocurrirá si permitimos que los sufrimientos provocados por la pandemia sean traducidos como síntomas de algún trastorno psiquiátrico definido en el DSM y no como el resultado de las muchas dificultades vividas en tiempos de pandemia.Analisam-se as dificuldades existentes no campo da saúde mental de meninos e adolescentes em tempos pós-pandêmicos. Consideramos que é preciso estar atentos à banalização de diagnósticos psiquiátricos ambíguos, às internações evitáveis ou desnecessárias, assim como à prescrição maciça de terapêuticas psicofarmacológicas com efeitos colaterais graves.
