Resumo: The virtual plenum is an arena in which both the plenum and the panels can carry out online andasynchronous rulings. Since March 2020, the competences of the virtual and the on-site arenasare identical, which means that every ruling can be carried out in the virtual arena. This changeintroduced a new era in STF. This paper discusses the implications of those changes to the literatu-re on decision-making process in STF. The following areas will be stressed out: the agenda-settingdynamics, the level of publicity of decisions, the organization of cabinets, and the veto powersand, finally, the aggregation mechanisms. Every research aiming to understand STF, from now on,must consider the effects of the virtual plenum to the interest variable.

Desde março de 2020, as competências dos ambientes físico e virtual são idênticas. A expansão das competências dessa arena afetou a dinâmica do STF, e inaugurou uma nova era no tribunal. Este artigo discute possíveis implicações dessas mudanças para a dinâmica do tribunal, sobretudo na definição da pauta de julgamento, e para a literatura que se dedica ao estudo do STF, em três âmbitos: exposição do tribunal, organização dos gabinetes, e ordem de agregação dos votos.
