Resumo: | In last times, the analysis of didactic texts books has gained importance in issues dedicated to science teaching. Conceptual mistakes, ambiguous figures and inadequate experimental proposes, which do not work or that are dangerous to the student, among others, are still quite common. From the fundamental work of Archimedes On the equilibrium of planes or the center of gravity of planes - book one we have developed an analysis of how this subject is treated in many Brazilian school texts books of both Physics and Science. Our investigations have shown several conceptual erroneous figures and other aspects in evaluated books. |

Our investigations have shown several conceptual erroneous figures and other aspects in evaluated books.A análise do livro didático há algum tempo vem tendo destaque nas publicações em revistas dedicadas ao ensino de Ciências. Erros conceituais, figuras ambíguas, experimentos inadequadamente sugeridos (por não funcionar ou trazer perigos ao estudante), entre outros, ainda são bastante comuns. Partindo do estudo do trabalho de Arquimedes Sobre o equilíbrio dos planos ou os centros de gravidade dos planos livro I , apresentamos uma tradução comentada e, tendo-a como ponto de partida, realizamos uma análise sobre a forma de como é abordado esse assunto nos livros didáticos de Física e de Ciências.
