Resumo: | The present work has as main objective to build a model to identify the sun apparent movement (SAM) as well as estimate the time interval in which it is above the horizon, to anywhere in the world and in any season. We begin with a brief reflection on the genesis of astronomy and some of its basic concepts, from which the model is built. The model basically consists of a transparent cylinder, in which are shown the paths of the SAM over the year. As applications of the model, are proposed some examples, such as the duration of "daylight" in different places of the globe. Making and using this model, besides the low cost and easy feasibility, provides a good understanding of the SAM. |

A model for the Sun apparent movement from a geocentric perspectiveUm modelo para o movimento anual do sol a partir de uma perspectiva geocêntricaThe present work has as main objective to build a model to identify the sun apparent movement (SAM) as well as estimate the time interval in which it is above the horizon, to anywhere in the world and in any season.
