Resumo: This article presents a summary of the historical evolution of the teaching of Library Science and Archival Science in Uruguay from its creation until today. There is a review of the different events that took place during this period, laws, names of degrees awarded and study plans, the teaching of professions in the interior of the country, the offer of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and the process of transforming the institution into a Faculty with a new building in Montevideo.

Relata distintos fatos sucedidos nesse período, leis, currículos, nomes dos cursos e respectivos títulos outorgados.
