Archives and Organizational Memory: indication of knowledge elements for archival memory

Resumo: The different areas in which memories are created make it possible to analyze their many expressions. These memories must be interrogated and interpreted to reveal themselves as an area of study. This study presents partial results of a golden thesis in which it is observed, in national and international literature, within the scope of Information Science and Archival Science, the concepts, characteristics, objects and functions of Organizational Memory – referring to documentary organization – and of archival memory – related to archival documents. It aims to observe the interactions between archives and Organizational Memory and identify elements of knowledge for the elaboration of a concept of archival memory. As a methodology, exploratory analysis with a qualitative approach was used. Content analysis was used as a method through bibliographical research. For content analysis, the concepts of Organizational Memory, the relationship between archive and memory and the interconnection between Organizational Memory and the archive were reviewed, thus making it possible to develop categories that supported the identification of the characteristics and functions of archival memory. As a result, the interrelationship between Organizational Memory and archives was verified, as well as the possibility of listing elements of knowledge to formulate a concept of archival memory. Through the established interface, the elements of knowledge that provide a concept of archival memory were observed.

Estos recuerdos deben ser interrogados e interpretados para revelarse como un área de estudio. Este estudio presenta resultados parciales de una tesis de oro en la que se observa, en la literatura nacional e internacional, en el ámbito de las Ciencias de la Información y la Archivología, los conceptos, características, objetos y funciones de la Memoria Organizacional –refiriéndose a la organización documental- y de la archivística. memoria – relacionada con documentos de archivo. Su objetivo es observar las interacciones entre archivos y Memoria Organizacional e identificar elementos de conocimiento para la elaboración de un concepto de memoria archivística. Como metodología se utilizó el análisis exploratorio con enfoque cualitativo. Se utilizó como método el análisis de contenido a través de la investigación bibliográfica. Para el análisis de contenido se revisaron los conceptos de Memoria Organizacional, la relación entre archivo y memoria y la interconexión entre Memoria Organizacional y archivo, permitiendo así desarrollar categorías que apoyaron la identificación de las características y funciones de la memoria archivística. Como resultado, se constató la interrelación entre Memoria Organizacional y archivos, así como la posibilidad de enumerar elementos de conocimiento para formular un concepto de memoria archivística. A través de la interfaz establecida se observaron los elementos de conocimiento que aportan un concepto de memoria archivística.Os diversos âmbitos pelas quais as memórias são criadas possibilitam analisar as suas muitas expressões. A estas memórias cabe serem interrogadas e interpretadas a fim de se revelarem como área de estudo. Este estudo apresenta resultados parciais de tese de dourado em que se observa, na literatura nacional e internacional, no âmbito da Ciência da Informação e da Arquivologia, os conceitos, características, objetos e funções da Memória Organizacional – referindo-se à organização documental – e da memória arquivística – relacionada a documentos arquivísticos. Tem por objetivo observar as interfaces entre os arquivos e a Memória Organizacional, observar a relação entre arquivo e memória e identificar elementos de conhecimento para a elaboração de um conceito de memória arquivística. Como metodologia, utilizou-se a análise exploratória de abordagem qualitativa. Utilizou-se como método, a análise de conteúdo por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica. Para a análise de conteúdo, foram revistos os conceitos de Memória Organizacional, a relação entre arquivo e memória e a interconexão entre Memória Organizacional e o arquivo, dessa forma possibilitou-se elaborar categorias que corroboraram na identificação das características e funções tanto da Memória Organizacional como da memória arquivística.
