The disclosure of documentary heritage of the university archives of IFES southern Brazil on Websites

Resumo: The paper presents preliminary results of a Master research that has been developed in the Professional Graduate Program in Cultural Heritage of the Federal University of Santa Maria - PPGPPC / UFSM in investigating the disclosure of documentary heritage guarded by university archives of Federal Institutions Higher Education in southern Brazil on websites region. The research is classified as descriptive qualitative approach. A literature review on the websites of archival institutions of Federal Institutions of Higher Education - IFES, and university archives have enabled an initial discussion of the initial objectives of the investigation. From the results obtained in this first phase of the research, it can be stated that the file sectors are consolidated in universities, since eleven Federal Universities of southern ten reported having the post of archivist and nine reported having file sectors to meet the demands of document management, although this fact is not yet reflected on the Internet, because after fifteen years of the publication of "Guidelines for building websites of archival institutions" and four years of implementation of the Access to Information Act - LAI also few university archives that make use of websites to provide industry information on the Internet, since the institutions initially identified by the survey, only four are present online, by providing websites of their university archives.

A pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar a utilização de websites na divulgação do patrimônio documental custodiado pelos setores de arquivo das universidades federais da região Sul do Brasil. A partir dos resultados obtidos na primeira fase da investigação, pode-se afirmar que os setores de arquivo estão consolidados nas universidades, uma vez que a maioria das instituições possui setores de arquivo constituídos, com arquivistas em seus quadros de pessoal para atender as demandas de gestão documental. Entretanto, mesmo com esse panorama, ainda são poucos os arquivos universitários que fazem uso de websites para disponibilizar informações sobre o setor e sobre seus acervos na internet, mesmo após quinze anos da publicação das “Diretrizes para construção de websites de instituições arquivísticas” e quatro anos da implantação da Lei de Acesso à Informação (LAI).
