A fenomenologia hermenêutica desenvolvida por Martin Heidegger, a partir da recolocação da questão do sentido do ser, reconhece um nível mais primário no âmbito das teorias do conhecimento, um horizonte que precede o conhecimento dos objetos. Antes de explicar, de definir ou de entender algo, há a compreensão prévia. Essa abertura compreensiva dentro da qual os fenômenos aparecem se oculta na própria manifestação dos entes. Esse nível que é condição de possibilidade do conhecimento dos objetos, a compreensão, se desenvolve na existência fática, ligada às condições históricas (tempo) e atesta, por isso, a finitude de todos os empreendimentos humanos, inclusive do conhecimento. Palavras-chave: Conhecimento; fenomenologia; hermenêutica; compreensão; finitude.Double structure of knowledge in Heidegger - explain and comprehendAbstract: The hermeneutical phenomenology developed by Martin Heidegger, starting from the question of the meaning of being, recognizes a more primary level on the issue of the theories of knowledge, which precedes the knowledge of objects. Before explaining, define and understanding something, we have a previous comprehension. This comprehensive openness within the phenomena appears is hidden in the manifestation of the entities. This level, which is the condition of possibility of objects of knowledge, comprehension, develops itself in the factual existence, linked to the historical conditions (time) and attests therefore the finiteness of all human endeavors, including knowledge.Keywords: Knowledge; hermeneutic; phenomenology; comprehension; finitude.
