Resumo: This document is part of the doctoral thesis defended in 2022, being part of the theoretical discussion about the Absorptive Capacity and Sustainable Performance of organizations and their relationships. Objective – Based on the model by Lane et al (2006) for Capability, to discuss questions from authors such as: “which organizational routines allow the acquisition of external green knowledge?” or “which mental models allow the acquisition of green knowledge in organizations”? Methodology - Content analysis, based on articles indexed in SCOPUS and WEB of SCIENCE using AtlasTi software as a support and analysis tool. Result - The in-depth analysis of the texts and the theoretical discussion led to the creation of two hypotheses regarding the relationship between sustainable mental models (MMS) and organizational routines (OR) as drivers of green absorptive capacity and the sustainable performance of organizations, to be tested.

Objetivo – A partir do modelo de Lane et al (2006) para a Capacidade, discutir sobre indagações de autores como: “quais rotinas organizações permitem aquisição de conhecimento verde externo?” ou “quais modelos mentais permitem aquisição de conhecimento verde nas organizações”?
