Resumo: | The scientific literature on museums has, over the years, expanding to highlight the contributions of these spaces in our society for Scientific Non-formal education. Based on this, the objective to characterize the educational profile of Museum Ecology Fritz Müller to constitute indicators of their potential in research and science education. For this, there were two methodological paths, a literature search to identify the Brazilian scientific production research whose object of study is the MEFM and field research, with the collection of information of the Museum in order to take stock of activities. For all identified features and the systematization of their potential, supports the use of MEFM space as science education learning environment for your visitors and students of different levels and types of education; for initial and continuing teacher training; for scientific research and professional training of science. |

Com base nisso, objetivou-se caracterizar o perfil educativo do Museu de Ecologia Fritz Müller (MEFM) a fim de constituir indicadores do seu potencial em pesquisa e educação científica. Para isso, realizaram-se dois percursos metodológicos, uma pesquisa bibliográfica para identificar na produção científica brasileira pesquisas cujo objeto de estudo é o MEFM e uma pesquisa de campo, com a coleta de informações no contexto do Museu a fim de inventariar as atividades desenvolvidas.
